Introducing Zhuofeng Yu
A story about my experiences
My words
Hi there, I am Zhuofeng.
I am a PhD in Microbiology and my academic background is in biochemistry and environmental microbiology. I spent four years in Copenhagen, Denmark for my PhD study and mainly worked in the field of antibiotic resistance on an EU-wide project (DARWIN) at MME (KU) and METLab (DTU).
Currently, I work as a Postdoctoral researcher at CARe (GU) on the wastewater AMR project.

More about me.
I have a diverse academic experience in Environmental Science and Engineering, as well as Microbiology from my Bachelor's, Master’s and PhD degrees. Specifically, my Bachelor's study focuses on the enantioselectivity in aquatic toxicity of synthetic pyrethroid insecticides and my Master's and PhD studies aim to uncover the patterns and dynamics of antibiotic resistance and associated mobile genetic elements (e.g. plasmids) in water ecosystems.
Meanwhile, I have also worked part-time or full-time during my studies.
